Fish and Chip's Story

Hi, our names are Fish and Chip! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:
-Personality: Curious, active, social
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but they cannot be the primary caretaker.
-Experienced Rat Home: Encouraged, but not required.
-Can Live With Other Rats: Fish and Chip are bonded and must go home together. They will likely get along with other rats, so long as they are properly introduced.
-Litter Box Trained: No
-Bite History: None
-Additional Information:
Meet Fish and Chip, a sweet and bonded pair of rats looking for their forever home. They love to explore (especially Fish) and snuggle with each other. Chip has albinism and likely has impaired vision, but he seems to be able to move around his kennel well despite this issue. They will need a nice roomy (minimum 2 cubic feet of space per rat) cage (NOT a tank) with multiple levels. Their diet should consist of high quality pellet food (like Oxbow essentials) and a small amount of species appropriate fruit/veggies daily. If you think Fish and Chip are the rats for you, adopt today!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
