Ethel and Eleanor's Story
Ethel and Eleanor are one-year-old female smooth coat American guinea pigs looking for a loving guardian.

These girls get along with each other beautifully. They are also well-behaved with other equally sweet female guinea pigs and neutered males.

Purchased by a high school senior, they were left at home when their human went to college. Her parents no longer wanted to care for their daughter’s pets.

They are currently eating unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, fresh salad, fruits, veggies and pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch squares of red pepper, a vitamin C cookie, and some of their dark leafy greens.

Ethel and Eleanor have been treated with Revolution to prevent mites, fleas and lice.

These sweet girls deserve a guinea pig-loving home with people who will handle them daily, keep them well-fed, nails trimmed, and habitat nice and clean.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Ethel and Eleanor, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

Their adoption fee of $50 as a pair benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, you can purchase her Midwest guinea pig cage (two-foot by four-foot), and all the supplies you’ll need to get you started.

They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
