Dill and Gherkin's Story

Hi, our names are Dill and Gherkin! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:
-Personality: Dill is curious, handleable, social. Gherkin is also curious, but more skittish and energetic than his brother.
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, although they can not be the primary caretaker.
-Can Live With Other Guinea Pigs: Yes, guinea pigs are social animals who should never live alone. They should always be in pairs or groups. Introductions should be slow and structured to ensure everyone gets along.
-Litter Box Trained: No
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information:
Meet Dill and Gherkin, two sweet little guinea pigs who are looking for their forever home. Dill seems to be pretty socialized with people and does well with being handled. Gherkin is a little wary of being handled, but with proper socialization he will be a great companion. They will need a nice roomy cage with daily exercise, and their diet should consist of unlimited grass hay, high quality guinea pig pellets, and fresh greens daily. If you think Dill and Gherkin are the guinea pigs for you, adopt today!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
