Devon Guinea Pig Short-Haired Teaneck, NJ

AARR now has a Guinea pig available for adoption!

His name is Devon. He was found at county park in north Jersey. We got word about a stray black rabbit there, so some volunteers have been making regular stops to scope out the area. We spoke with some of the dog owners and enlisted a few local helpers. This wee piggy came running right up to one of our volunteers and her German Shepherd early one morning, asking for help. What a brave little guy! Luckily he picked the right human to approach. She took him home, told us about him, and then bought him a beautiful mansion with all the supplies and furnishings!!! We had been at that park quite a while only the day prior scouting the area for the rabbit, so Devon could not have been out there for long.

He is young…not fully grown at 1.5 lbs. when found. He has been growing and putting on weight ever since. He is rocking the cutest hairstyle! Our vet found him to be in good health, with no parasites. Lab results available. He was neutered on April 19th. Though he is shy and cautious, he's also curious and gentle. We seek a home where he can join at least one other or a herd. Guinea pigs need friends and do well when carefully introduced to others. He will come with his full setup unless you already have a better, more spacious housing option.
