Chewy's Story

Say hi to Chewy! Chewy is a gorgeous and spunky American guinea pig. Like his Star Wars namesake, he is looking for his next grand adventure and would be the absolute best co-pilot (no life-debt required). He loves pea flakes, saying hi to new friends, and a good piece of carrot. His adorable wheeks also have a twinge of what sounds like Wookie, or maybe we're just imagining it. Chewy came in with another friend, but sometimes the transition to the shelter can break bonds. His buddy found a new bond mate, so Chewy is looking for the same. He can be a bit more dominant, so ideally a low key older boy would be an awesome match for him. He would be the perfect fit for any guinea pig savvy household. Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at info@rispca.org.
