Challah's Story

Meet Challah! This adorable 2-month-old brown rat is ready to find a loving home with a family who will give her plenty of attention, enrichment, and companionship. Challah is still very young, so she has lots of growing, learning, and exploring ahead of her! Challah is one of a group of sisters, and she must go home with one of her sisters-Rye, Pumpernickel, or Sourdough. Rats are social animals who thrive with the companionship of their own kind, and having a sister by her side will help Challah feel happy, comfortable, and secure in her new home. If you're looking to welcome a pair of adorable little rats into your family, Challah and one of her sisters may be the perfect match! Come meet this sweet girl and her sisters and see which pair steals your heart.

Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
