Benny's Story
Benny is a neutered 1 year old boy who came to us after spending his entire life alone in a cage with very little handling or socialization. He had never lived with other rats before coming into foster care. When he first arrived, he could barely be touched, but his foster has made incredible progress with him. He now allows handling, comes out to explore, and is a very curious boy who wants to interact, even though he’s still unsure about a lot of things.

Females are non negotiable for Benny. Because he has never lived with other rats, he needs an experienced home that understands introductions may need to move slowly. We feel he would do best in a calm group of about 3–5 gentle adult females that can help him continue building confidence at his own pace.
