Bella is <br/>beautifully socialized and runs on her wheel for what seems like miles!<br/>Chinchillas, when properly cared for, can be long-term companions living on average between 15 to <br/>22 years.<br/>Native to the Andes mountains of northern Chile, they are agile and able to jump around mountain <br/>peaks their dense fur protects them from the cold. That is why they need a large multi-level cage to <br/>jump from ledge to ledge. Ive personally only seen wild Chinchillas at Machu Picchu in Peru and it <br/>was such a thrill.<br/>Chinchillas don't have sweat glands and are densely surrounded with fur, so they need to stay cool <br/>year-round at temperatures 75F and below.
