Update 23SEP07: Rosy is now in a 5000+ gallon backyard pond in northern VA with other adopted turtles. ----------------------- This female midland painted turtle is about 6" long. She's been an indoor pet for 14 years, and she could be at least 20 years old, but could have many more years ahead of him. She needs a 50 gallon aquairum or larger, although she would do well year-round in a fenced-in backyard pond of at least 300 gallons. She's currently in Great Falls, VA, near Reston, and we prefer not to ship her. She's being offered for adoption due to personal hardships in the family, although she is very much loved and well cared-for. Painted turtles can be kept exactly like red-eared sliders.
