Minnow's Story
Minnow is a red-eared slider turtle. She is mostly aquatic, but does come out of the water to bask. She eats Zoo Med Gourmet turtle food (with dried cranberries), Reptomin, shrimp (freeze-dried specifically for aquatic turtles), goldfish, and occasional fresh vegetables. Minnow is about 18-20 years old. She is a "look at me" pet and not a hands on pet.

Minnow wasn't cared for properly in her previous home. She is missing all of the toes on one foot (damage done before the prior owner bought her at a pet shop). It is critical that she never be put in a pond or released, as her foot injury makes it harder for her to swim and catch food.

She enjoys a 55-gallon aquarium where she can bask, swim, chase goldfish or take a nap at her leisure.

Minnow is looking for a permanent retirement home with an experienced aquatic turtle owner. Donations to help pay for her ongoing care are appreciated.
