Maple's Story

Maple is a wonderful lad, approx 5 years old. Maple is visually impaired, but still gets around very nicely.

Maple is visually impaired. He gets around just fine, can see his food just fine, but has some scarring on his eyes. After a shed, just pay attention to his eyes to ensure there is no stuck shed left behind! He is perpetrator of having goopy eyes after a shed.

Below is a biography written by his attentive foster:

- Is a food fanatic. If he suspects you have food he will get the "zoomies" and start running towards the front of his tank
- Doesn't mind handling, isn't the most supportive of being encased or held down by your hand in anyway and will squirm. However he loves to climb up your shirt and hang on your shoulder if you let him.
- very light sleeper but you won't see him most of the day.
- has a designated "poop corner"
- loves to climb, despite not being able to see very well
- hates the feeling of being misted and will run into any nearby hide to get away from it. However really loves his humid hide. Frequently also basks under his heat lamp
- kind of skittish, will take him a bit to be used to routines
- may bite during times where he feels like biting. Likely due to his visual impairment, or due to being a leopard gecko that has free will.
