Geophagus are peaceful cichlids known as “earth eaters.” They love to sift sand through their mouths, so a soft sand substrate is important for their health. 💧 Care Basics: • Larger freshwater tank • Soft sand substrate • Peaceful to semi-peaceful tankmates • Clean, well-filtered water These fish are fun to watch and add great movement to a tank.
