Thumpy's Story
Meet Thumpy, our hospice bunny Living in a cage at the shelter isn't the right way for him to spend whatever time he has left. He may not have years and years left. We are hopeful that with the right adopter, he could have great months or even a great year! We just don't know...

What we do know is that Thumpy does not have the best teeth and cannot properly eat hay. His adopter will need to soak his hay cubes to ensure he gets proper nutrition. Our vet team can go over his needs with you, too! Because he's the world's best bunny, Thumpy will lick his medication off your finger, but he will need daily pain medication

He currently has a pretty darn good quality of life and is a happy bunny so we are looking for that special adopter to give him a wonderful life. And who knows?! Maybe he'll outlive our expectations and have more time than we think!

Thumpy doesn't act like a hospice bunny, though. He loves to thump-hence his name! He also loves to snoop around, eat yummy snacks and be near people. He is used to living in a home with other nice bunny friends as well as bunny-friendly cats! If there are any other bunnies in his home, the females must be spayed as Thumpy is not medically cleared to be neutered. He is about five years old and weighs just under four pounds.

He would love a warm lap, loving arms and an adopter who will pet him and tell him how special and loved he is. We are hopeful that Thumpy has lots of nose-bonks left to give and binkies left to hop. He wants to belong to someone, and he deserves that. Will you be the one to hold his tiny bunny paw and let him know that he matters?

Please don't be afraid of the goodbye. Please welcome him with open arms and love him for the now so he can know warmth and love when it is time for him to cross the rainbow bridge
