Theodore & Shadow's Story
Theodore is a Male New Zealand. He is estimated to be about 3 year(s) old and weighs approx. 6 lbs. He was one of the first bunnies we brought into the rescue- before we were even a rescue in April of 2023. He’s had a personality and been a friendly bunny from the beginning. He’s good with his litter box. Vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Recently. He is bonded with a spayed female named Shadow. It was one of our quickest bonds. In the picture slide above, you can see she’s using him as a body pillow on day 3. Not the best video but we wanted to show the depth of their bond - as we bond many bunnies but most of them don’t lay on top of each other like that.

He does have a dislocated toe- nothing needs to be done about this- the vet advised as long as he’s not picking at it / running into things he’s good. When bunnies have things like that it’s not like with people and there usually isn’t much that can be done- but it doesn’t seem to give him any discomfort and hasn’t stopped him from doing bunny things. We would love to find this pair their forever home. His most peculiar activity is that he likes to adjust all of his blankies JUST SO. Their cost is $150 together.

Why Adopt a Bonded Pair?
Bonded bunnies are happiest together. Rabbits are highly social animals, and a bonded pair provides constant companionship, comfort, and security that humans simply can’t replace. Bonded bunnies groom each other, nap together, play, and help reduce stress and boredom—especially when their humans are away. Adopting an already-bonded pair also saves adopters the time, stress, and uncertainty of attempting a bond themselves. Theodore and Shadow have a deep, proven bond, and keeping them together allows them to continue thriving emotionally and socially in their forever home.
