Theodore's Story

Meet Theodore and Pumpkin, an incredibly adorable bonded pair of bunnies who are ready for a true fresh start. Theodore, the white bunny with brown markings, and Pumpkin, the brown lop, are both about 4.5 years old and have been through quite a journey together.

The pair came to the Center after being purchased for 4-H projects that ultimately never happened. Their previous owner could no longer care for them, and the buns had been living outdoors and in a garage environment. Since arriving at OHRR, both bunnies have received the care they needed to begin thriving.

Because of their previous housing and diet, Theodore and Pumpkin arrived with some minor issues. Pumpkin had very waxy ears, something that can commonly affect lop rabbits, so it is recommended that they both receive regular Zymox ear care moving forward. Theodore developed some minor dental points, likely from not receiving enough hay in his diet, but these are expected to improve with proper nutrition and unlimited hay — an essential part of healthy rabbit care.

Despite everything, Theodore and Pumpkin are incredibly sweet, lovable bunnies. They are cute as can be and are now looking for a forever home where they will be properly cared for, spoiled, and loved the way they always deserved. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

If you have read our Adoption Policy and are interested in adopting Theodore and Pumpkin, please complete and submit the online Adoption Application.
