Tazewell's Story

Tazewell is looking for his forever home!!

Tazewell was dumped at a dentist's office on Tazewell Pike! Staff tried all day the catch him, and a client stayed after closing to keep trying. She called her neighbor for help, and together they were able to catch him!! He had the worst coccidia infection that we've ever seen, but he's been treated and tested negative!

Tazewell is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and easygoing!! He loves to hangout with his friends and gets cranky when he is alone!

Tazewell does well with cats and dogs if all sizes. He's a tiny guy with no fear, so introductions should be done slowly and especially carefully. He's available for bunny meet and greets anytime!

Tazewell is about 8 months old as of April 1, 2026. Operation Bun Bun Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step is the adoption application. A vet is always called and referenced. Then we reach out to the potential adopter and let them know if we had any issues with the vet reference. If resolved, we do a home check. This can be a quick check to make sure they have adequate litter boxes and space for cats, or making sure our bunnies and small animals have a suitable setup and won't be confined to a cage. This can be done virtually for out of state adoptions. There is always a meet and greet and then a contract must be signed and the adoption fee must be paid before the pet is transferred to the care of the adopter.
