TALULA (ADULT SPAYED FEMALE)'s Story

She likes to sleep in the hidey houses but also stretch out on the towels.
She does flops and even waived her feet up on the air showing appreciation for the pellets and greens that she receives.

She has been observed doing binkies, twisting her body, shaking her ears and and flitting in the air in the space she calls her own. On the other hand, she is very territorial and possessive. She probably never had a place to call her own or felt safe. Her bun parents will need to show a lot of respect for her space.

Talula was found with 2 other rabbits in Bushwick.
All 3 were emaciated and on the cusp of starvation and dehydration until courageous volunteers stepped up and rescued them from an abandoned back yard in sub zero temps. Talula has experienced trauma but her foster mom has helped her transition from starved vagabond to Dutch Princess.

Talula is doing very well and she now wears her white fur around her neck like a pearl necklace. Her hair has grown in plush and healthy. Her natural instincts are coming to life. Her personality is active, feisty and social. She had to be strong to survive being outside. Her litter box skills are very good. Talula can be a bit fearful and we think either she goes to an experienced home or an understanding home. She has done well on some speed dates but did not get the rose.

Talula has been spayed and the adoption fee if $95

Email: info@allaboutrabbitsrescue.org

All About Rabbits Rescue, Inc's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process serves to ensure that the rabbits entrusted in our care go to loving bun-educated forever homes. We provide an application which helps potential adopters organize their consideration on adopting a pet rabbit. Bun-education is really important to us, so we provide the latest and greatest info on rabbit care housing and various helpful tidbits that one can only get from an experienced rabbit rescue caretaker. Not sure about adopting? Ask us about fostering. AARR may be able to provide partial housing and start up supplies. We ask that our fosters help AARR by contributing daily greens, pellets and hay. Foster homes should be able to make the rabbits accessible either by allowing well screened potential adopters to visit or being able to bring them to an adoption event. ADOPTION EVENTS: We are open to the public at our regular events in a casual setting where you can meet many rabbits all at once without an appointment or prior application. Please note we DO NOT do same day adoptions. We also set up private meet-and-greets with pre-approved qualified adopters, so you don't have to wait for an event if you are interested in adoption.
