Sunny's Story

Meet Sunny!

I have been in foster care for OVER 3 YEARS and I'm hoping my special person is out there.

My foster mom would describe me as curious, adorable, and a little bit sassy. I didn't have much positive human interaction before I was rescued, so I'm naturally cautious when meeting new people. But I've made incredible progress! Once I trust you, I enjoy gentle pets—and when you hit the right spot, I'll reward you with happy little tooth purrs.

One of my favorite parts of the day is hanging out with my foster mom. When she relaxes on the couch and hangs her foot over the edge, I come running over for my favorite foot pets! I also love sitting by the living room slider, watching the wild bunnies and birds in the yard. I'm a curious girl and could spend hours taking in all the excitement outside.

Like any bunny, I have a playful side. I love chewing cardboard boxes and wooden toys, so make sure your home is bunny-proof (your baseboards will thank you!). My litter box habits are excellent, and I'm happiest when I'm munching fresh hay/greens, digging in my litter box, or waiting for snacks. Just shake the treat container and watch me spring into action with zoomies, binkies, happy little grunts, and maybe even a playful bulldoze of the treat box!

I'm such a well-behaved house rabbit that I have free roam of my foster mom's big living room. I've even mastered the stairs—they're part of my daily exercise routine now! I'd love a forever home where I have plenty of space to explore and can spend lots of time around my humans. Being part of your everyday life will help me continue building confidence.

Although I lived with other rabbits before my rescue, I've decided I'd much rather have all the human attention to myself. I'm looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time and knows that the best relationships are worth waiting for. I'd probably do well with respectful older children who understand that rabbits don't like being chased or picked up. A calm, peaceful home would be my perfect match.

I'm not the kind of bunny who will win you over in five minutes (as my foster mom!) but if you give me the time, patience, and love I deserve, you'll watch me blossom into an amazing companion. There is nothing more rewarding than earning the trust of a bunny who's learning that people can be kind.

Could you be the special person I've been waiting for?

Apply today and give Sunny the forever home she's been dreaming of.
