Star's Story

Star is looking for her forever home!!

Star came from a hoarding case of 37 bunnies who suddenly found themselves at the Sevier County shelter. We took in all of the medical cases to get them vet care asap.

Star actually wasn't supposed to join us, but we're happy to have her! There was a miscommunication with transport and she arrived instead of a bunny with an eyeball laceration. Oops! Don't worry, we arranged placement for Star and headed back for Sadie, the bunny who was Star was supposed to be!

Star is a sweetie with a sassy side! She loves to be involved with her family whether that's in your arms, hanging out on the couch, or playing with her toys within sight distance! She gets especially sassy when someone else is getting attention and she is stuck in her pen!

Star gets along with all cats and dogs so far! She loves her friends!

Star is very sensitive to dust, and she will start to sneeze with pine pellet litter and the paper bedding type litter. Paper pellet litter, like Fresh News, is the only kind she seems to not react to, so she needs to stay on this litter to ensure her comfort!

Star is about 1-2 years old. Operation Bun Bun Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step is the adoption application. A vet is always called and referenced. Then we reach out to the potential adopter and let them know if we had any issues with the vet reference. If resolved, we do a home check. This can be a quick check to make sure they have adequate litter boxes and space for cats, or making sure our bunnies and small animals have a suitable setup and won't be confined to a cage. This can be done virtually for out of state adoptions. There is always a meet and greet and then a contract must be signed and the adoption fee must be paid before the pet is transferred to the care of the adopter.
