Sorrel's Story
Meet Sorrel!! (case #18502)

Meet Sorrel, a handsome lop-eared gentleman who has mastered the art of being an excellent house guest. He's clean, quiet, polite, and wonderfully easygoing — basically, the kind of roommate who won't eat your leftovers... although he may try to negotiate for a few extra greens.

Sadly, Sorrel's story didn't start out quite so sweet. This poor boy was found outside all alone, where a pet rabbit should never have had to fend for himself. The hardest part? No one came looking for him.

We can't imagine how confusing and lonely that must have been, but Sorrel is now safe and getting the care he deserves. And while he may have been left behind once, he is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and find the forever family he deserves.

With his adorable floppy ears and gentle nature, Sorrel is the sort of bunny who could quietly steal your heart without making much of a fuss. He doesn't need to be the centre of attention — he's perfectly happy being part of the family, enjoying his comfy space, munching his hay, and settling into a peaceful routine.

Sorrel's House Guest Resume
Noise level: Excellent
Cleanliness: Five Stars
Manners: Impeccable
Cuteness: Frankly, excessive
Snack requests: Politely persistent
Floppy ears: 10/10
Ready for a forever home: Absolutely.

Like all rabbits, Sorrel will need an indoor home where he can safely explore, exercise, and be part of the family. Rabbits need unlimited grass hay, fresh greens, appropriate pellets, daily enrichment and exercise, and regular veterinary care from a rabbit-savvy veterinarian. They also need a properly rabbit-proofed environment and plenty of patience and gentle interaction.

And while Sorrel is quiet and tidy, he isn't just a decoration — rabbits are intelligent, social animals who need room to explore, things to chew and investigate, and people who will take the time to get to know their individual personality.

After being found alone outside and having no one come searching for him, Sorrel deserves to finally know what it feels like to be someone's cherished companion. He's been a good house guest. Now he's hoping to become a permanent member of the family.

Come meet Sorrel and see if this sweet, floppy-eared gentleman is the missing piece in your home. Please complete an adoption request:

https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions

Sorrel has a future appointment to be neutered. He will be ready to go to his forever home after this procedure.

Adopters must provide their own enclosure and accessories.

Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families.

*Please note: we only adopt within Ontario
