Sophie's Story

Sophie was found on the side of the road along with five other rabbits. Passerbyers caught the others and the person who caught Sophie brought her to us. She is very shy, yet super excitable. She wants to become friendly, she just needs someone to take the time with her. She arrived pregnant and popped out a litter of kits that she didn't take care of. She is a mere baby herself. We believe she is probably just under one year old. We tried to save the kits but failed. Sophie has since been spayed and received a clean bill of health. She's all set for her furever home! ReHeart Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We require an adoption fee of $100 per rabbit and guinea pig. Cats are on a case by case basis. We also require a signed adoption contract with the understanding that the animal is to be returned to us if no longer wanted. The prospective adopter will need to have a phone interview with us and provide a veterinary reference if possible, plus one to two personal references. Lastly we require a home visit, which may sometimes be completed virtually, to check the habitat set up.
