Sloppy Joe *Adoption Pending*'s Story
Sloppy Joe was surrendered because his previous owner simply couldn't afford to keep up with his care as he aged, and she was moving into a smaller apartment that did not allow pets.

Joe was having his fast-growing incisors trimmed every couple of weeks at a local clinic; we decided to have the problem teeth extracted and it's been a big improvement... he just doesn't eat much hay anymore. Joe will happily munch on pellets and veggies, though! We also made sure to get him neutered, and are addressing sore hocks not uncommon in the Rex breed.

Now, Joe is looking for a new family that can help him live comfortably in his senior years. With his short, plush Rex fur and no need to keep hay in the house he may be a good fit for someone who is otherwise sensitive/allergic to these things.

We also think he'd do well with a friend who can help him groom and stay looking fresh.

Apply today!
