Sesame (bonded to Sapphire)'s Story
Sesame and his bunwife, Sapphire, were adopted from our rescue, but sadly returned when the adopter got pregnant. The bunnies have adjusted well in foster care and would love to find another adopter who will commit to them for the remainder of their lives. They are a social pair, who welcome petting and will very happily take treats from your hand. They love some free-roam time, but need supervision or a well bunny-proofed room, as they will chew baseboards! Sesame is a little protective of his space, so if you enter his exercise pen to clean, he may respond with a grunt or try to chase you out. His bark is far worse than his bite, however, and anyone experienced with rabbits will do fine with him. He's a sweet boy, who just gets a little nervous at times and needs some patience. For this reason, we will not adopt them to a family with young children. He is also fearful of dogs and not at all a fan of cats. If they keep their distance, he's okay, but when approached, he will box at them. He's quite content with adults.
