Ruby's Story

Ruby was born in our care four years ago to Gertrude, a mama bunny who came to HRR just in time. After finding her forever home as a baby, Ruby spent the last four years being loved, spoiled, and treated like she could do no wrong.

Ruby is now looking for a new forever home through no fault of her own. Her family made the very difficult decision to return her after an elderly family member moved in and began struggling with bunny allergies that could not be managed.

Ruby is used to living as a free-roam bunny and would love a home where she can continue having space to explore, lounge, and show off her silly personality. She is a big fan of chewing her hay throughout the day and appreciates having plenty of bunny-safe things to keep her busy.

Ruby has also been around children and can do well with calm kids who understand how to respect her boundaries. When she feels safe and comfortable, she will allow gentle pets and enjoy the attention on her own terms.

Ruby has already known what it feels like to be loved. Now she is hoping to find a family who will give her that same comfort, patience, and spoiled-bunny life all over again.
