Puffer's Story
Puff is a spunky little harlequin rabbit with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Like many rabbits who have had a rough start, Puff once showed some aggressive tendencies, but with patience, consistency, and gentle care, she has made remarkable progress. Today, she is a rabbit who genuinely enjoys human company and seeks out affection on her own terms. She adores pets and long ear rubs, often melting into them, and she is surprisingly expressive—grunting, muttering, and making her feelings known as she zooms around with endless energy. Puff is curious, lively, and full of character, the kind of rabbit who quickly becomes the center of attention in a room.

Puff does still have a few quirks that adopters should understand. She is very protective of her food and firmly believes that any hand approaching her bowl must be there to steal it. Because of this, she does best with respectful boundaries around mealtime. She also does not enjoy being picked up, likely due to a past broken leg injury. Although that injury has fully healed, Puff clearly prefers to keep all four feet on the ground and feels safest when interactions happen at her level. Understanding and honoring these preferences goes a long way toward earning her trust.

An ideal home for Puff is one that has an area or enclosure that is fully bunny-proofed and ready for an intelligent, slightly mischievous rabbit. She has some destructive tendencies, but these are easily redirected by providing plenty of appropriate outlets like cardboard boxes, brown craft paper, and safe chew toys. When her environment is set up for success, Puff thrives. For an adopter who appreciates a rabbit with spirit, humor, and a strong sense of individuality, Puff offers a deeply rewarding companionship—one built on mutual respect, patience, and a whole lot of love.
