Meet Potato
Potato has had a past that is beyond terrible and I'm not posting all the horrible details here...but all I can say is: This poor bunny has been through more in his short life than any bunny should...ever!
His name is Potato! (I love the name!)
Here's part of his backstory:
I got a call from a guy that said he got a rabbit from a meat farm and it hasn’t eaten in 4 days. He said he didn't have money to take him to the vet.
A rabbit that doesn't eat is in dire need of medical attention. In a matter of days, bunnies can die from GI Stasis.
(Please...research bunnies before you adopt - they are NOT starter pets that need little care.....)
Anyway, we took him into Kind Heart, and for several days we gave him fluids, pain meds, and Cisapride.
What breaks my heart is how he came around. While the first few days he was petrified, and I had to cover most of his cage with a blanket to keep him calm, he now loves to be petted and he tooth purrs! He would LOVE a sweet bunny girl to pal around with...I think he would blossom even further with a nice girl "to take cues from". He loves life now, and loves to come out and play and zoom everywhere!
He melts my heart as all he wants is to be loved. Here's a bunny that was at a "meat farm" with no reason to even be hopeful that "humans" can be nice, but he still is so desperate for affection.
$100 adoption fee includes Potato (neutered), a playpen, litter box, bowls, hay, and pellets.
Homes in Jersey only, please.
