Percie: video!!'s Story
*This bunny is fully vaccinated for RHDV**
Breed: mini rex
Size: about 3-4 lbs
DOB: About 9 months to a year old old as of March 2026
Reason in rescue: Percie came in from a hoarding situation. Originally she was one of the buns the humane officer was allowing her to keep but the woman ended up giving her up because she was “biting”. Well I’d be biting too with no ears, ear infections in her ear canals, and not being spayed! All of that has been rectified and she’s now ready for a home!
Personality: When Percie first got here she didn’t know how to “get love.” She was scared of hands and would whimper but she’d drop herself down onto the ground the minute she got touched and petted in utter bunny happiness. She’s learned over the last few weeks she can get love anytime she wants and she loves it. She will take a day or two to get to trust you but once she does she loves being petted and getting affection and will push her face into your mouth for kisses. She is great with her litter box! Because of Percie’s background, we recommend older kids/adults only and we recommend an adopter who is able to regularly clean and check her ears since there is no protective outer ear, which could potentially allow dirt in. We don’t know how she ended up losing her ears, whether it was from frostbite, her mom chewing them off, or just that she was born with it but it doesn’t seem to affect her and she hears well! She really is a great girl!
Friends: She is a good candidate to be bonded to a neutered male.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $100 which includes her spay, vaccine, and microchip.
