Rescue Spotlight: PATCHES - Our Gentle GoldenYears Boy<br/><br/>Patches is a senior Netherland Dwarf who recently came into the care of Kind Heart Rescue after being displaced when his elderly owner moved out of Holiday City. At an estimated 12+ years old, Patches is one of the oldest bunnies we've ever welcomed - and he carries his age with a quiet sweetness that melts every heart he meets.<br/><br/>When Patches arrived, it was clear he had been living with significant discomfort. He had never been neutered and had developed TWO types of testicular cancer, causing him tremendous pain. Thanks to the incredible veterinary team at the Jersey Shore Animal Center, Patches underwent surgery to remove the cancerous masses and was safely neutered. Their skill and compassion quite literally gave him a second chance.<br/><br/>Patches is also mostly, if not completely, blind, and he has ongoing dental issues that require monitoring and supportive care.
