Nook's Story

Meet Nook!! (case #15698)

Nook's story didn't begin in a cozy home. It began as a stray, fending for himself outdoors. When he arrived in our care, he was covered in fleas and battling an ear infection. Thankfully, with treatment, good food, and lots of TLC, this resilient little fellow is starting to feel much better and is ready to find the loving home he deserves.

Nook is a confident rabbit who enjoys being part of the action. He's easy to handle and approaches life with curiosity, making him a fun companion to watch as he explores his surroundings. Like many rabbits, though, he values his personal space. In smaller enclosures, Nook can become territorial, which is his way of saying, "This is my space!" It's a common rabbit behavior and often improves when rabbits have plenty of room to move, explore, and express their natural behaviours.

Did you know that rabbits are naturally territorial because, in the wild, a burrow is essential for their safety? That's why spacious housing and regular exercise aren't just luxuries. They help rabbits feel secure and reduce frustration. A rabbit-proofed room, exercise pen, or large enclosure can make a world of difference.

Nook is looking for a family that understands rabbit body language, respects his boundaries, and can provide the space he needs to thrive. In return, you'll gain a charming, resilient companion whose journey from stray to cherished pet is a testament to just how rewarding rabbit adoption can be.

Could Nook be the missing piece of your home? This surgery is included in the adoption fee.

Adopters must provide their own enclosure and accessories.

Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families.

*Please note: we only adopt within Ontario
