Moe's Story

✨ Meet Moe ✨

Moe, estimated between 5 and 7 years old, has been in medical foster care for several weeks. He came to Bunanza struggling with malnutrition and several other health conditions (that have since been treated). Due to his previous living conditions and being unneutered, he is not litter trained. As his diet transitions, his stools vary, meaning a messy area and a little bit of a messy bunny! His poor diet and untreated medical conditions left him with a poor coat and dry skin, which will improve more and more with a healthy diet! He’s very good at drinking water 🥰

Because he came to Bunanza with such a poor diet and lived in such a tiny space, he wasn’t able to develop good habits, but he definitely can! He is SUCH a sweetheart ❤️

Moe would be best fit into a family with rabbit experience while he gets back to his healthy self! Once Moe has gained a healthy amount of weight, he will be ready to be neutered. It is likely that Moe, as is common with lop bunnies, will need a dental trim either at the time of neutering or at a later date.

Despite his circumstances, Moe is spry, spunky, full of personality and perseverance! The vet described him as “resilient and chipper” 🫶🏻

Moe has been loving having room to move and groove and is absolutely soaking up the snuggles and love from his foster family. 💛 Despite needing to be syringe fed critical care to get him back to a healthy weight, he is gentle and loving (just a little bit of a wriggler - he has OPINIONS and those opinions include thumping 🤣).

Once Moe gets to a healthy weight and is neutered, his several vet visits do not indicate that he will have continued special needs long-term.

Can you foster Moe for his current medical needs?
