Moana's Story
Pellets: 1/4 cup Oxbow Essentials Adult Pellets (AM)
Hay: Unlimited hay: Unlimited Mixed Hay
Salad: 1 cup spring mix, romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley (PM)

Meet Moana, our beautiful and outgoing bunny! Moana is a smart, expressive bunny who's learning that people can be trusted. She came to us as a stray and was understandably defensive at first, especially with fast movements or hands reaching into her space. With patience and respectful handling, she's shown great improvement-she now enjoys head, neck, and ear pets, will relax into a loaf, and happily accepts treats.

Moana does best with people who move slowly, read bunny body language, and let her come to them. She's food-motivated, curious, and blossoms when she feels safe. Moana would thrive in a calm home with an experienced or bunny-savvy adopter who can continue building her confidence at her pace.

Moana has some sore hocks and will need to be on soft surfaces and padded areas while it continues to heal.

Spayed: 12/26/2025

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
