LOLA's Story
Meet Lola, the 8 month old female rabbit. Lola appears to be some sort of English Spot rabbit but we are not certain. She came to the Shelter by no fault of her own – her prior guardians needed to find a home as they were moving to non-pet friendly housing. Lola has lived with children in her previous home. She would hang out in her hutch inside the house when not supervised and was free roaming when her guardians were home. Staff and volunteers have observed that Lola has been curious and social since her arrival. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
