Linus's Story
Pellets: 1x/day 1/4 cup Adult Oxbow Essentials (AM)
Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (All day)
Salad: 1x/day 1 cup spring mix, romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley (PM)

Arriving at SDHRS in October 2025, Linus is a curious and adventurous bunny with a sweet side once he gains your trust. At first, he might be a bit spicy-he's territorial and isn't afraid to show it! Linus may lunge at people entering his pen, but when he's in the right mood, he likes to be pet.

Linus has a unique story: both of his ears were removed due to a condition called calcinosis cutis, which is a painful skin disorder that causes calcium deposits to form in his ears. His ear removal means he'll need regular ear cleanings, and he may have a slight challenge with temperature regulation, but this doesn't stop him from living a full, happy life.

While Linus may have a little less ear than most bunnies, it doesn't slow him down! With a healthy appetite and plenty of energy, Linus is ready to hop into his forever home! He's looking for someone who can respect his boundaries while helping him grow more comfortable in his new environment.

Neutered 8/15/25

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
