Lily's Story
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting--these bunnies are still with its owner, who is looking to re-home them. We will pass your adoption application to them and they will contact you directly. This rabbit is not available to be bonded to another rabbit.

Meet Our Sweet Girl Lily– Loving 7-Year-Old Lop Looking for Her Forever Indoor Home

It breaks our hearts to write this, but due to severe and worsening allergies in our family, we are looking for a wonderful new home for our precious 7-year-old Lop bunny. We originally adopted her from a pet shelter, and she has been a deeply loved member of our family for the past 4 years. We have all her necessary documents ready to pass along to her new owners. Our top priority is finding a home where she will get the same—or even more—love and attention.

She is a strictly indoor-only, free-roam bunny who is fully litter trained, neutered (spayed), and microchipped. While she can be a little shy at first around new people, once she gets to know you, she transforms into an extremely loving companion. Her absolute favorite things are getting lots of head pets and simply chilling right next to you on the floor while you relax. When she is feeling extra happy, she will treat you to the most beautiful binkies and zoomies!

Her Daily Care & Favorites:Diet: She needs fresh grass or hay at least once a day to stay healthy.

Environment: She must go to a home where she can remain an indoor, free-roaming pet.

We are charging a $20 rehoming fee solely to ensure she goes to a safe, committed, and loving home. If you have experience with free-roam rabbits and have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior girl, please fill out an adoption application.

WE ADOPT TO INDOOR HOMES ONLY. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. You are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your house rabbit, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling.

Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. They need room to play and have the freedom to run around a large area. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad.

We do have strict housing requirements. We do not adopt to home with rabbit cages or hutches. See our website for more information. The housing area needs to be at least 4 x 4 floor space.

Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.

Our adoption fee is $70 for a single and $130 for a pair (this helps us cover part of their spay/neuter cost). An interview, adoption application and a picture of their housing will be required before adoption.

We will NEVER separate a bonded pair. Bunnies bond for life. If the bunnies are shown together, they are bonded.

We are not adopting to homes with DOGS, we have had some bad trauma to our rabbits in the past. Their safety come first.
Please contact Angie Green at angieso1@earthlink.net

Please visit our web-site for more information. www.specialbunny.org
