Lil Mama (Little Momma)'s Story

Hi there, I'm Lil Mama - although honestly, the name doesn’t mean much to me. I respond more to curiosity and movement than to any particular word. I’m a confident, spirited rabbit with a real zest for life and a serious case of wanderlust! Within minutes of arriving at my foster home, I was already hopping around, mapping every corner like a furry little explorer on a mission.

Right now I live in a bunny-proofed room because I’ve got a knack for "remodeling" carpets. Digging is part of my nature, I can’t help it! But give me enough space, some favorite chew toys, and a good run, and I’m usually too busy bounding through rooms and flying up and down stairs to bother with interior design.

I love being around people, but I’m more of a quiet companion than a lap bunny. Think of me like a toddler doing her own thing - happy to be nearby, doing my own projects. I keep myself entertained and don’t need a ton of interaction to be content. I’ve got energy, independence, and a healthy sense of curiosity - and I know how to use all three!

One of my top joys? Hay huts. I’m efficient, too - I can demolish one in a month or two. But I don’t chew on furniture, which I hear is a big plus. My one mischief tendency, digging, is easy to manage if you’ve got the space and the right setup. When it comes to litter box habits, I’m a pro. I’ve been spotless since day one!

My typical day starts with a quick zoom session around the living room and some pellets for breakfast. Afterwards I like to hang out in my space and observe the world around me. After a fresh salad for dinner time, I enjoy spending some quality hang-out time near my foster parents while they relax. I love Oxbow pellets, plenty of Timothy hay, and greens like romaine. Carrots are nice now and then, and while fruit doesn’t really excite me, those apple treats from Oxbow and sweet bamboo sticks? Top tier.

As for affection, I can be pet if you're gentle and patient, but physical touch isn't the way to my heart. I haven’t been around kids or other animals yet, so if I meet any, I’ll need some time to adjust.

So if you’re looking for a bunny with big energy, a curious mind, and a whole lot of love for exploring, I’m your gal!

*RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience. All applications are reviewed

on a case-by-case basis.*

If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.

Gender: Female

Approximate birthdate: 12/13/2022

Approximate weight: 5.53 pounds

Adoption fee: $100.00 (+tax)

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
