Lewis's Story
Pellets: 1/4 cup Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food (AM)
Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (all day)
Salad: 1x a day 1 cup spring mix, parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce

Meet Lewis, our adorable little rabbit who just hopped in on October 14, 2024! This sweet guy with beautiful ruby-red eyes was found as a stray and spent some time at a local shelter since August. When he first arrived, he was a bit dirty and had some ear mites, but he's feeling much better now! Lewis can be a bit shy and takes his time warming up to people. He's super curious but tends to dart away when you reach for him. Once he knows he's safe, though, he loves being wrapped up in a cozy burrito and will happily chill on your lap for hours! He's looking for a calm home where he can take his time to build trust. If you've got a gentle touch and some patience, Lewis could be your perfect little buddy. Give him a chance, and you'll be rewarded with lots of love!

Neutered 9/5/24

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
