Kosher's Story

Must adopt with bond mate, Dill
Hi there, I’m Kosher. I’m the black rabbit in the pictures, and the silver one is my bond mate and best friend, Dill. Yes, sometimes I nip at her, but it’s just my way of reminding her I’m in charge. We’ve never fought, and honestly? We’re inseparable. We groom each other so much we’ve got little bald patches to prove it. I like things done a certain way, and Dill’s happy to let me lead — that’s how we work. She’s the calm to my storm, so we must be adopted together.

I’ll be honest, at first I’m rather skittish — sudden movements send me hopping for cover — but give me time and I’ll let my personality take the spotlight. Once I know I’m safe, my sass and curiosity kick in. I’ll explore every corner of my space, bobbing my head like a little detective, sniffing out all the new scents and sights. I’m not loud, but I’m not shy about thumping if I hear something suspicious — like thunder, or even neighbors walking around. I take my home security duties seriously!

I don't love being picked up, but with a slow approach, I’ll gladly melt under some good head scratches. I’ll flinch at first — especially if I wasn’t expecting it — but give me a few minutes and I’ll lean into the attention. Just don’t rush me. Trust is something I build slowly, but when I do, I’ll let you see my curious, quirky side!

One fun fact about me is that I can do tricks like spin, stand, jump, and high five! I love enrichment activities and anything I can dig, toss, or chew. Treat puzzles, stacking cups, toilet roll hay tubes—you name it, I’m into it. I do like to redecorate the litter box, so I’d appreciate a space with good enrichment and supervision.

I would do best in a calm environment where I don't have to worry about kids or other pets, with people who understand that I’m still learning to trust. If you’re the patient type and willing to move at my pace, Dill & I will reward you with some quiet company, curious stares, and the kind of gentle bond that only grows with time.

*RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience. All applications are reviewed

on a case-by-case basis.*

If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.

Gender: Female

Approximate birthdate: 2/27/2024

Approximate weight: 7.3 pounds

Adoption fee for Pair: $160.00 (+tax)

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
