Joann's Story
Pellets: 1/4 cup Oxbow Essential Young Pellets (AM)
Hay: Unlimited mixed timothy and orchard hay with a layer of RHH + small handful of alfalfa hay
Salad: 1/2 cup spring mix, romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley (PM)

Meet beautiful Joann! This adorable bunny came to us from a local rescue in January 2026, and she has been keeping us on our toes ever since. Joann is incredibly active, spunky, and full of personality. She's adventurous, curious about everything around her, and truly enjoys interacting with her people. Joann will thrive in a spacious indoor home where she has plenty of room to run, explore, and play- along with thorough bunny-proofing to keep her safe (this clever girl is quite the escape artist!). She loves enrichment toys and needs lots of mental and physical stimulation to stay happy. As a young rabbit, Joann's personality will continue to grow and evolve over time. Patience, understanding, and a commitment to building a strong bond will help her blossom into an amazing companion. We absolutely adore this little ball of energy and know she'll do wonderfully in a home that can give her the time, attention, and play she craves.

Spayed: 01/21/2026

Neutered/Spayed (insert date)

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
