INDIE 's Story

Indie is a medium to large sized ball of black fluff. He is about 2 years old and is an athletic bun who loves to roam and explore but he also loves to just hang out on the arm of his foster's couch. He has been seen sleeping on his back with his legs in the air and will wiggle them when he is dreaming. He loves to be scratched on the neck behind the ears, and he will happily let you run your hands down his whole body. His favorite greens are dill, carrot tops, dandelion and kale. His favorite fruits are apples and blueberries ( in moderation of course). Indie is into the construction and destruction of chew toys and card board boxes. He needs a home where he can run free and the space will need to be rabbit proofed. He will come with his litter box enclosure, wooden house, tunnel & favorite box of hay & treats. He always needs a mat that he can chew on underneath his house. He would do best with a partner bun and has gone on some speed dates and done well. All About Rabbits Rescue, Inc's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process serves to ensure that the rabbits entrusted in our care go to loving bun-educated forever homes. We provide an application which helps potential adopters organize their consideration on adopting a pet rabbit. Bun-education is really important to us, so we provide the latest and greatest info on rabbit care housing and various helpful tidbits that one can only get from an experienced rabbit rescue caretaker. Not sure about adopting? Ask us about fostering. AARR may be able to provide partial housing and start up supplies. We ask that our fosters help AARR by contributing daily greens, pellets and hay. Foster homes should be able to make the rabbits accessible either by allowing well screened potential adopters to visit or being able to bring them to an adoption event. ADOPTION EVENTS: We are open to the public at our regular events in a casual setting where you can meet many rabbits all at once without an appointment or prior application. Please note we DO NOT do same day adoptions. We also set up private meet-and-greets with pre-approved qualified adopters, so you don't have to wait for an event if you are interested in adoption.
