Gunner's Story

Breed: Holland Lop
Size: Small
DOB: Unknown
Reason in Rescue: Surrendered
Personality: Sweet, goofy, loving
Friends: I think I would make a good friend if I meet the right girl.

Hi my name is Gunner and I have such a story to tell you. I was given to EARS in a tiny box. Someone just handed me to a volunteer and walked away. I was in so much pain because by the time they surrendered me my eye had ruptured and I had no pain meds. As soon as they saw the condition I was in they took me directly to the vet and got me meds. A week later the vet did surgery to clean out my eye socket. I feel so much better now, don't feel bad for me now. I am such a happy boy and I love to run around, but I still like humans and like when they pet me. I will let you pick me up for a short time, but I don't really like it. I would say don't let kids pick me up because I am a little squirmy. I hope that you want to meet me and fill out an application.

Requirements
Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a puppy pen (minimum 4' x 4'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches.

Adoption process
An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at eriearearabbitsocietyandrescue@gmail.com or call (814)838-9732.

Recommended Food
- Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select, Science Selective House or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day
- Unlimited timothy hay
- 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day
For a complete list of rabbit-friendly veggies, visit houserabbit.org.

Bedding
Newspaper, Yesterday's News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh.
