Gnocchi's Story
What is soft, pillowy, and feels like a great big spoonful of love? It's Gnocchi.

Gnocchi is a fun, outgoing, energetic guy who truly loves to play. His foster described him as
being very active, and that is no exaggeration. "He likes jumping on and off the couch (he will do
this over and over for a while), doing big springy binkies, following the kids around in big circles,
and jumping into blankets and soft baskets. When he's done playing he will let you know by
walking back to his pen for some water and a nice side flop. His binkies are something special.
"He gets good air and will do a lot of them in a row when he's in a good mood."

He is also wonderfully social. In his foster home, he lived with two young children, ages 5 and 2.
He did not seem nervous around them, never nipped at them, and even enjoyed following them
around the living room. He happily accepted greens from their hands and quickly became part
of the daily rhythm of family life.

When it comes to new people, Gnocchi adjusts quickly. It took him less than 24 hours to get
comfortable with the new foster home. After a short adjustment period, he was "relaxed and
flopping down for naps like he owned the place." He may be a little shy at first, but curiosity wins
out. While he may not be a constant cuddle bunny just yet, his foster shares that he will allow it
in small doses. He makes up for that by being very present, interactive, and playful.

His personality is just as delightful as his play style. Gnocchi is a funny little guy. He's very
curious, so his little snout is always poking around. He often stands up tall to sniff what is
happening up high. His foster noted, "He always seemed very alert but never on edge... overall
he has a very cute good-natured 'I'm your cool friend' vibe." A few times he was spotted loafing
with one ear up and the other down. To put it simply, Gnocchi is charming.

Gnocchi thrives with plenty of free roaming time and would do especially well in a home with a
dedicated bunny space where he can stretch his legs and explore. He is still polishing his litter
box habits, especially with poops, and will need an adopter who can stay on top of tidying while
he continues to improve after his recent neuter. The great news is that he never had a single
pee accident in his foster home, either in his pen or while free roaming. He was occasionally
nippy only when someone was in his space cleaning, which his foster described as normal
bunny behavior. He never nipped during regular hangouts and playtime.

His daily routine is simple and sweet. Fresh water and food in the morning, which visibly excites
him, followed by alternating between relaxed hay chewing and asking to come out and explore
by poking his face between the pen bars. After evening greens and a good play session, he
settles in quietly for the night.

Gnocchi is friendly, playful, inquisitive, and full of personality. He is ready to bring big binkies,
curious sniffs, and that cool friend ethos into a home that will give him space to play and a little
patience as he perfects his manners.

Gnocchi is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be
administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy
veterinarian once a year.

Submit an adoption application for Gnocchi at center.houserabbit.org. House Rabbit Society is
located in Richmond, California, just north of San Francisco. Questions? Email
foster@houserabbit.org and we'll be happy to talk more with you!
