Galaxy - courtesy rehoming listing's Story

Galaxy is a 3 and 1/2 years old spayed female. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved! She is very social and loves attention. She is being rehomed because her family does not have time for her anymore and want a better situation for her.

Galaxy needs an indoor home with a family who will see to it that she gets regular veterinary checkups. She has a record with a local vet in Madison. She is not vaccinated for RHDV2, but we are happy to assist families looking to have this done and strongly recommend this for any bunny.

Courtesy listed bunnies not in our care, but are spayed/neutered, listen for local families or bunny parents who have asked for our help in finding a new home.

We believe in forever homes. If you are interested in adopting Galaxy, please follow our normal process. There is NO adoption fee for courtesy listing bunnies as are they are not in our care, but as always, we strongly suggest having a $400-$500 emergency fund set aside for any bunny for unexpected emergency veterinary care.

The courtesy post adoption process:

1. Please look through the Bunny 101 slides on our website here: www.huntsvillehouserabbits.com

2. Please read through the recommended supplies list, which includes bunny space setup, food, litter, recommended emergency kit essentials (yes we can sell a kit if desired), local vets, and photos of excellent bunny setups. Is a bunny right for you? The supplies list is also on the front of our website here: www.huntsvillehouserabbits.com

3. Fill out the adoption form on our website here: www.huntsvillehouserabbits.com/adopt Note: foster-to-adopt through us is not available for courtesy posts, and is up to the discretion of the family rehoming the bunny.

4. We will connect your form to the family rehoming, but adoption is their choice, not ours.

As with all potential adopters, you are welcome to come by any of our community events! Many people benefit from in-person educational events. Adoption meetup and adoption day are set by the rehoming family, not us. We will assist if we can / if it is possible for us to do so. Even for courtesy rehoming cases, we support our bunnies for LIFE with care education, advice, and a wonderful welcoming community. Even years down the road, we are there for you and the bunnies. If at any time you need us, please e-mail us at: huntsvillehouserabbits@gmail.com
