COOKIE's Story

Cookie (A142336) and his brother Oatmeal (A142335) are 2-and-a-half-year-old lops who both weighed over 4lbs at intake! 05/30/26 These sweet and adorable buns are Oatmeal and Cookie! These boys are brothers and very bonded. We are requiring that they go to a home together for this reason. If you are not familiar with bunnies, we highly encourage doing some research prior to adopting. Bunnies are chewers and need plenty of appropriate chews to keep their teeth healthy. If not provided with chews, they will find some! So make sure any and all cords and other things that should not be chewed are out of reach. These boys can be shy in new situations, particularly Cookie. Oatmeal has been more confident during their transition into the shelter. Rabbits should be given a measured amount of pellets a day while having unlimited access to hay. You can treat them occasionally with fresh greens, but Oatmeal and Cookie were actually said to not like their vegetables very much! They also prefer to drink from a bowl rather than a water bottle. Potential adopters should make note of this, as they will likely not understand how to use a water bottle and it could have disastrous consequences if it is their only water source. Oatmeal and Cookie have been very well cared for and are generally easy to handle. They do not have any experience with any other animals outside of each other. If you are interested in meeting Oatmeal and Cookie, please give us a call!
