Clarence's Story

Cora and Clarence are a bonded pair full of personality, curiosity, and charm. These two adorable siblings love exploring their world together, cheering each other on, and learning to trust the humans in their lives.
Cora is the brave, bouncy leader of the pair - she does some of the highest, most joyful binkies you'll ever see, often springing straight up from a standstill! Clarence follows her lead, watching her for cues before deciding something is safe. Once he's confident, though, he becomes the bold explorer, checking out new spaces, climbing to interesting spots, and even retrieving treats from shelves to share with his sister.
They're both still timid with new people and children, but they warm up with patience (and treats!). Shake a treat bag and they'll come flying across the room, zooming around your feet, circling your toes, or popping up on their hind legs to politely ask for snacks. With people they know, they'll happily run over to say hello, accept pets while munching treats, and hang out nearby - Clarence especially likes to plop down just out of reach so he can watch everything happening around him.
Cora and Clarence are incredibly sweet with one another. Cora loves grooming her brother and will nuzzle under his chin to ask for her turn. Clarence often tries to nuzzle back first, but eventually gives in and returns the affection. Watching their gentle communication is a joy.
This pair has BIG energy and BIG appetites! They love chew toys (especially wood), flipping cups, zooming, chasing each other, and grabbing objects to start little "come chase me!" games. They're enthusiastic about hay, pellets, greens, water - and treats, always. They're active in the mornings and evenings, with naps sprinkled throughout the day like true bunnies.
Cora and Clarence do best in a patient, bunny-savvy home that understands the quirks of young, curious rabbits. They're still working on tidy litter habits and will need an adopter who can bunny-proof well and provide lots of appropriate chewing options. They also enjoy rearranging their space - including collapsing their sleeping box with great enthusiasm.
Most importantly, they are incredibly sweet souls learning to trust. Each day, they grow braver: Cora is now enjoying gentle pets, and Clarence is starting to allow a few too. With time, consistency, and love, they will blossom into wonderful companions who adore both each other and their humans.
If you're looking for a lively, loving, endlessly entertaining pair who will greet you with excitement and fill your days with joyful chaos, Cora and Clarence may be your perfect match.

Clarence is neutered/spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year.

Submit an adoption application for Clarence at houserabbit.org. House Rabbit Society is located in Richmond, California, just north of San Francisco. Questions? Email foster@houserabbit.org and we'll be happy to talk more with you!
