Broccolini's Story
Special Bunny would like to introduce Broccolini, a brave and tender young male bunny born at the end of January 2026.

Broccolini’s story began when his very pregnant mother was found wandering the streets this winter in desperate search of food. Thankfully, one of Special Bunny’s wonderful foster families heard about her situation and was able to rescue her just in time. Just three days later, Broccolini and his four siblings were born safely indoors.

While Broccolini is adventurous at
heart, he likes to take a moment to observe before diving into new situations. He is happy to let his brothers test things out first before beginning his own explorations. The smallest and most slender of the litter — just like his vegetable namesake — Broccolini has an especially sweet and thoughtful personality.
He would thrive in a home with plenty of room to explore, along with cozy places where he can stretch out and relax. After playtime, Broccolini is known for his dramatic flops, throwing himself onto the floor with his legs stretched out in complete exhaustion.

Some of his favorite activities include chewing cardboard boxes, squeezing through tiny spaces, and quietly observing the world around him. Although he is a little more shy around people than some of his outgoing siblings, his gentle personality shines through more every day.

Broccolini was neutered at the end of April and is currently completing his vaccines. He is now ready to find his forever home!

Like many young rabbits, Broccolini is still learning litter box habits and is improving steadily now that his hormones are settling down after neutering.
His exact breed is unknown, as his mother appears to be a mixed breed rabbit and his father remains a mystery. Broccolini currently weighs about 3 pounds, and his mother is a medium-sized rabbit.

WE ADOPT TO INDOOR HOMES ONLY. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. You are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your house rabbit, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling.

Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. They need room to play and have the freedom to run around a large area. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad.

Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.

Our adoption fee is $70 for a single and $130 for a pair (this helps us cover part of their spay/neuter cost). An interview, adoption application and a picture of their housing will be required before adoption.

We will NEVER separate a bonded pair. Bunnies bond for life. If the bunnies are shown together, they are bonded.

We are not adopting to homes with DOGS, we have had some bad trauma to our rabbits in the past. Their safety come first.
Please contact Angie Green at angieso1@earthlink.net

Please visit our web-site for more information. www.specialbunny.org
