Admiral's Story
Monarch and Admiral are a pair of brothers who came to HRS from a large scale hoarding situation. Despite being housed with other rabbits and having scuffles, these boys are full of love and trust, not just for rabbits but for potential human friends as well. We often find them grooming each other during nap time and running zoomies in our exercise space during play time. With their new found freedom and safety, this brotherly pair are becoming more playful and energetic with every passing day.

Named after the Monarch and Admiral butterflies of California, these boys are going through a gorgeous transformation. Their previous dirty fur is shedding off to reveal sleek and healthy coats. With a little time, they will reach their full gorgeous potential just like butterflies leaving their chrysalis!

These boys have not yet gone to foster so we are still learning their likes, dislikes, routines and full personalities.

Why adopt a pair of rabbits who are already bonded? Rabbits are very social creatures and most enjoy the company of other rabbits. Bonded rabbits typically have a very strong bond and it's essential to keep them together as they depend on each other. And plus, when you adopt a bonded pair of rabbits, you're saving two lives instead of one!

Many people incorrectly think that caring for two rabbits will double the time, cost, and space required compared to a single rabbit. This isn't necessarily true, as bonded rabbits (usually!) share their litter boxes, hay, and toys. Often buying veggies in bulk is more economical too. If you've never bonded rabbits before, adopting a pair who's already bonded will save you a lot of time (and headache!) of bonding them yourself. A bonded pair will also keep each other entertained while you're at work for the day, hopefully keeping themselves (mostly) out of mischief. Double your cuteness and double your fun by adopting a bonded pair of rabbits!
