Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and dogs in Northern Wisconsin and beyond. We strive to create a compassionate environment for both our human and animal friends. Without judgement we will prioritize each individual animal’s physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. We are committed to fostering a responsible community able to provide useful resources, access to education on responsible pet ownership, and professional advice. All backed by science, experience, and love.
Adoption Policy
We have an adoption application you can fill out online on our website at www.animalwelfarewi.org, or you can contact us so we can have a conversation in place of an application instead. Once you've been approved, you can choose to Foster-to-Adopt if the animal hasn't been sterilized or had all of its vaccinations, or if you're just unsure about adopting and would like a trial period before finalizing. Otherwise, you can sign the Adoption contract, pay the fee, and bring them home as soon as possible. We try to reply to messages and applications within 48 hours.
