Concern for Animals
Our Mission
Â
Concern for Animals (CFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1980 to serve Thurston, Mason, Lewis, and Grays Harbor counties with financial assistance for low-income pet owners and families in need of medical care and spay/neuter procedures. Additionally, we offer a weekly Pet Food Bank and supply pet food for seniors with companion animals that receive Meals on Wheels. We offer integrated programs to assist those in need in order to keep families together while preventing abandonment and shelter euthanasia.
While sheltering is not our primary mission, we do operate a small adoption facility for animals with no other options that are in need of forever homes. Our shelter facility does house a small number of animals at a time and the majority of animals featured on our Petfinder page are currently being fostered at a third party location. If you are interested in a featured pet, please visit https://www.concernforanimals.org/adoptable-cats to fill out our adoption application.
