Peace Love Dawgs Rescue

Middletown Springs, VT

Our Mission

Peace Love Dawgs Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue based in Vermont. Our mission is to rescue, fully vet, rehabilitate, and adopt-out adult and senior dogs to wonderful forever homes throughout the Northeastern United States. We are a foster-based rescue funded entirely by 100% tax-deductible donations. We partner with several different rescue teams, nationally and internationally, to save dogs from the breeding industry and feral island dogs. Our dogs are often victims of abuse, neglect, and severe trauma but above all else they are SURVIVORS and much deserving of happy beginnings.

Adoption Policy

Potential adopters submit an adoption application via our website. We contact 2 personal and 1 veterinary reference. If the references are all positive, applicants then provide pictures and/or video of their home and fenced yard for their virtual home visit. Once approved for adoption, we will schedule a meet & greet with the family and other dogs living in the home. If all goes well and all parties feel comfortable moving forward, they can choose to adopt the dog and bring it home with them that day. Adopters must travel to Vermont for meet & greet and adoption. They must have a fenced yard to be considered for adoption. To understand why we require fenced yards, please read the reasonings behind this rule here on our website:
