Our Mission
To provide the resources, programs and education needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals at the Waco animal shelter.
Adoption Policy
We have an open adoption policy and welcome adopters. Our adoption documents consists of a simple application, an adoption contract that transfers ownership, and the adoption donation. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped before moving to new homes.
We arrange meetings for adoptable pets in the order applications are received.
*Out-of-state adoptions: WPA! usually has a lot of Texas adopters for our pets due to our low adoption fee and friendly process. We can consider out-of-state applications on a case-by-case basis, however, we never ship pets. Out-of-state adopters would have to visit Waco, TX in person to meet a pet they were interested in. If you are applying from out-of-state, please include in the application your travel dates to our area. Our adoptable puppies typically get adopted out in our immediate area very quickly.
